Emanuel Edward Butler was born August. 4, 1971, in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late Mary Elizabeth Street and the late Emanuel Walker. He attended the public schools of Camden County and was a graduate of Camden County High School, class of 1990. He was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir. He was a true Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Bulldog fan. On Thursday, November 21, 2024, Emanuel answered his heavenly Father's call and his spirit took flight to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Sonia Butler, whom he loved with all of his heart; three children, Glenworth Henry (Pam), Alicia Haye and Charlene White; five sisters, Avis Baker (Josh), Felecia Sheffield (Willie), Kimmie Powe, Gloria Gilmore (Timmy) and Tina Lynch; four brothers, Wintford Street (Anne Marie), Emanuel Walker, Wilbert Jacobs and Maurice Street; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Ferguson; bonus mom, Jannie Bell Kight Walker; aunts and uncles, Nora (Alonza) Gibbs, Stella Butler, Irene Rudolph, Katie Brown, Sheila Stanley, Arthur Butler, Clifton Butler, Roosevelt Butler and Herman Short; like a sister, Ann Moses; god-daughter, Bynia Wilson; god-sisters, Yulanda Green, Annie Baker and Debra Reed; god-brothers, Timothy Robinson and Barry Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
